Sorry it's been so long since my last blog, but things are pretty crazy around here lately.
We've decided to up the scheduling of our magazine to bring you more timely information. Thanks for your support. It couldn't have happened without the help of everyone who has responded to our advertisers and patronized the restaurants we feature. More on that later...
This weekend will see us pretty busy. It's the first year for the Rideau Canal Festival and we've been helping organize a great component of it. We've challenged some of the regions best Chefs and Food Enthusiasts to come down to Confederation Park over the long weekend to participate in the Enbridge 100km BBQ Challenge.
The cooks have been paired with local farms and we've got a fabulous outdoor kitchen installed in the park and I can't wait to see what they all come up with. Here is the schedule for the weekend;

1:00 Ron Eade, Food Editor of the Ottawa Citizen with Élevage Cataraqui

AND - for a great laugh, head over to Ron Eade's blog -Omnivore's Ottawa . He's got some great entries over the past few days about how he is preparing for his goat burgers and elk chops. Simply hilarious.
Cheers!
