This post is going to be a biggie.
Sunday morning. Bright and early. I headed over to Landsdown Park to visit the Ottawa Farmer's Market.
It's the only place you can safely bet that the people selling you your vegetables actually removed them from the earth.
It really is quite an amazing experience and you should go this Sunday. Each week about 3000 people flood the market between 8am and 3pm. They have also just launched their Thursday market as well. From 2 - 8pm. This particular market is a great option for summer cottagers to buy fresh, local produce - direct from the farmer, to savour at the cottage.
There are lots of incredible things to enjoy right now.
Here are some photographs of what I encountered this past Sunday.
Averys Garden Market

McGREGGOR'S PRODUCE
HOOPLE CREEK FARMS
OVEN'S BERRY FARM
ACORN CREEK GARDEN FARM
CHAMPIGNONS LE COPRIN
There are tons of other things available there now and wonderful things yet to be seen. Take the family and enjoy a fun morning at a true Farmers' Market.
